Even with a wind meter, there’s still a place for a good old-fashioned wind ribbon. A meter gives you the numbers, but a ribbon gives you an instant visual check of what the wind is actually doing. When you’re about to start a stage, or between shots, that quick glance at wind direction and movement can be invaluable — especially when conditions are changing.
